Okay so when it comes to the Gili Islands, you probably do not need that much convincing but with Gili Trawangan having the reputation of the party island, sometimes people are a bit put off in favour of the more expensive Gili Air and Gili Meno. We visited both Gili T and Gili Air mid-November last year, just before the start of the busy season, and Gili T was most definitely my favourite of the two. If loud bars and clubs are not your thing they can easily be avoided (if it is your thing ensure you check out the beer pong bar!), in favour of more relaxed venues. From the endless dive stores, sand beaches with clear blue sea, boutique stores and coffee shops, the laid back hippy vibes of Gili T are not to be skipped on your Indonesia bucket list.
