I am currently writing this post sitting by a pool in La Palma while drinking a Mojito. A bit different from Last Saturday when I was in an absolutely freezing Greenwich Park taking part in the 10k Mo-run.
After the run we had worked up a massive appetite so headed over to Greenwich Market for food; if you haven’t been to Greenwich Market before it is full of lots of stalls that sell beautiful unique handmade items – think Etsy in real life, and then some amazing street food.
I love street food; any kind of street food. However a lot of the time it is hard to find a good vegetarian option. After a good look around we came across ‘Pimp My Ramen’, not only have they got a brilliant name the food is incredible! Instead of bread buns, Ramen is used as a substitute bun.
I half expected the veggie option to be the standard vegetables in paneer but received an amazing Indian spiced patty topped with a fried egg, lettuce and hot sauce (optional). My boyfriend went for the Filipino pulled pork option – succulent pulled pork smothered in a tangy oriental barbecue sauce topped also with a fried egg and lettuce.
Pimp My Ramen is such an original concept that works so well, and for a fresh filling meal in London £5 is a very fair price. I would recommend Pimp My Ramen to any vegetarian or meat eater; as well as spending a morning in Greenwich Market and the surrounding town. It really is a beautiful part of London.
Where are your favourite vegetarian places to eat in London?
