I am an avid Disney fan, I make sure no attempt of hiding this, it has been implanted into me from a small age and it will stay with me through out my whole adult life. I am fortunate enough to have visited Disney World multiple times through out growing up and during my adult life as well, and my parents still visit Orlando at least once a year. You could say it is a part of me, I live for the rides, the character experiences, the wonderfully magic atmosphere that covers a large portion of the Orlando area, but I… View Post

Well I haven’t done one of these in forever, I am terrible at keeping these things up but I am going to try my best to from now on, because sometimes little things happen and appear throughout the month, that is not quite big enough for a blog post but deserve their own little shout about. Here are the things that have been making me smile this August, Blogs, Not Brands My wonderful friend Kara wrote a brilliant blog post about blogs being called brands, and it was a post I could not agree more with. It feels like it… View Post

A few weeks ago, Dj and I went on a well-deserved date night to the newly refurbished Giraffe World Kitchen in Victoria, after a hectic couple of weeks a relaxing evening was very much in order. Prior to this visit, I had only eaten in Giraffe once, which I believe was at Gatwick airport before a flight to Berlin, I distinctively remember a very good veggie burger, but for some reason, I had never returned to another branch, which is odd considering this is how the chain describes themselves- “Flavours you might have tasted once on your own far-flung adventure.… View Post

Okay admittedly I should have written this post two months ago, but as always life gets in the way and now I have ten months until I turn thirty and desperately wondering how I will fit everything in.  Don’t get me wrong, it will not be the end of the world if I don’t, I am realistic and to be honest, I am already quite proud of everything I have achieved in the past twenty-nine, but goals and plans are fun so I thought I would jump on the bandwagon. How am I feeling about turning thirty? At this point… View Post

As you have probably worked out by now food is a big factor for DJ and I when travelling, so naturally, a lot of our trip to Rotterdam centred around food, and we were not let down at all. Rotterdam has a massive food scene, from typical Dutch food to the heavy middle eastern influences, the city is full of independent restaurants, markets and wonderful little cafes, there really is something for everyone. Over the weekend we visited a variety of different places all with different cuisines, so I thought I would create a quick guide to our favourite food in… View Post

I love afternoon tea, what more could you want than a sit down with tea and cake, it’s terribly British but it is wonderful. London plays host to many afternoon tea locations, so much so you are over spoilt with choice, sometimes you need to find something a little bit different. So in celebration of afternoon tea week, what a glorious week, I thought I would scope out all of London’s most unique and unusual afternoon teas. Afternoon Tea with Cats. For £25pp you can indulge in afternoon tea surrounded by feline friends at Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium. Okay, this… View Post

Bristol may not be the first place that springs to mind when you think of a European city break (or a staycation for my fellow Brits) but I’m hoping that this post will make you change your mind. As with all places, if you shy slightly away from the tourist hot spots, you’ll find the Bristol locals or Bristolians enjoying some fantastic food and drink. Breakfast When I say breakfast, I definitely mean brunch. Trendy cafes and restaurants are all over Bristol which means we’re spoilt for choice for brunch options. If you head to Stokes Croft, you’ll find some… View Post
