I am a sucker for a good gimmick, I loved anything themed, even if I don’t particularly have a big interest in the chosen theme, I get swept away with good marketing. So imagine my excitement when we stumbled across the DC Superheroes Cafe inside the Putra Mall, Kuala Lumpur. I was sitting down before we even checked out the menu, I could very easily end this blog now by saying it is fantastic, just go but I figured that probably wouldn’t be too interesting, but it is great and gives Universal Island’s of Adventure a run for its money… View Post

Indonesia seems like a lifetime ago already, in between Christmas and just general life I have not found the time to sit down and write about all the incredible experiences, of which there were so many. From trekking active volcanos at sunrise to hanging out with Orangutans in Borneo it was a complete non-stop whirlwind, but we did find a few days every now and then to just relax and take it slow, one of the places this happened was in Seminyak, Bali. For anyone that has heard of the Seminyak area of Bali they probably wouldn’t class it as ‘relaxing’,… View Post

Last year I created a post of top travel bloggers to follow in 2016, which was then followed by my favourite travel Instagrammers , I still follow all these wonderfully talented people today, but over the past year, I have also discovered additional incredibly talented people owning their little space on the internet. So in the spirit of championing other people’s success and talent, I thought I would create an updated list of people I believe you should be following, not all of these people are necessarily in the ‘travel niche’ but they all have a sense of adventure that is… View Post

My little corner of the internet has been a bit neglected over the holiday period, to be completely honest I just have not wanted to write due to a complete mixture of things, despite being full of inspiration and having so many posts to write, the last thing I have wanted to do is sit at a computer. So I listened to that fully and took a break away. I felt I needed to write a 2016 round up year because what a year it has been. Travel took the lead completely this year and saw me visit six new… View Post

The reason I have called this post ‘An Average Person’s Guide to Mount Batur Sunrise Trek’ is quite simply because when I was researching for my trip, the only information  I could find either made the trek sound incredibly easy or like you needed to be pro mountaineer to stand a chance of making it to the top, and then there was a few that made it sound like you were risking your life for a sunrise. There was no middle ground, no information from someone just like me, a person that signs up for the gym with the best… View Post

My history with Scuba diving is a complicated one, in fact, it is not that complicated, quite simply I hated it (take note of the past tense), the very thought of it pushed my anxiety into overdrive for days leading up to the dive, by the time I was on the boat I would quite literally be shaking. So many people asked me why I still put myself through it, why I pushed myself so much mentally to qualify as an open water diver, and the reason quite simply is because I love the ocean, I always have, when I… View Post

So I am back from a whirlwind three weeks in Indonesia, it was perfect and I fell more in love with the country than I ever imagined, I also cannot wait to share it all with you. Not so surprisingly Ubud took a big part of my heart, the numerous intricate temples and the chilled out vibes gave me strong reminders of Chiang Mai, Thailand and despite the many tourists it did not feel tainted by tourism as I, unfortunately, felt with Seminyak. While I may not have practiced yoga daily and perfected my downward dog (2017, this will become a thing!)… View Post
